UPCOMING DATES

Shed/Field maintenance day - May 19, 8 a.m. at Marsh Field. Everyone is invited. All candidates for head coaching positions are EXPECTED to attend.

Cheer Coaches Meeting - May 24, 6:30-8 p.m., GL Opera House

Physicals at GL High School, May 30, 6-8 p.m. $25 CASH.

Late sign up - June 13, 6-7:30 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria

Second late sign up - July 11, 6-7:30 p.m. at the Equipment Shed at Marsh Field

Practice starts for all grades - August 6

Games begin for 7th and 8th grade - August 25 & 26

6th grade Game-a-Rama - August 27

4th and 5th grade Game-a-Rama - August 28

Games begin for 4th through 6th grade - September 8 & 9

GLAYF Mission Statement:

To promote the game of Football and Cheer squads, so it may be enjoyed by as many young athletes as possible in the Grand Ledge Area.

Grand Ledge Area Youth Football (GLAYF) is an organization which provides football team and cheer squad opportunities to more than 850 boys and girls in the Grand Ledge area.   

GLAYF participates in a traveling league format. All GLAYF home games are played at Byam Field in Grand Ledge (across from Grand Ledge High School stadium). The Football teams and Cheer squads travel to member cities for away games.  GLAYF is a member of the Tri-County Youth Sports League and they generate team schedules / game locations.

GLAYF is a non-profit organization registered with the State of Michigan. No officer or coach is paid any salary or fee for their services. All services provided are voluntary.    

GLAYF Membership Meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at The Log Jam in downtown Grand Ledge at 8:00 PM.
